Types of Taylor T5 guitars
The Taylor T5 guitar are of four different types. These are:
Classic
As the name suggests, this is a classic T5. Among the Taylor’s T5 guitars, it is the most affordable. It has an organic aesthetic which gives it a very enviable look. It is then supported using the Ovangkol top’s, a lucrative satin finish and its body is unbound with f-holes. This Taylor T5 model also has inlays made of diamond fretboard while the hardware is made of chrome. It comes electronics and gig bag from Taylor. Classic Taylor guitars are either 6 or 12 stringed.
Standard
The T5 standard guitar comes in two models namely:
a) T5-S- Here, chrome hardware sets the tone in the form of tuners and other pickup hardware. Its sapele body is completed with a spruce top and the microdot inlays cover the fretboard. The finishes of this Taylor T5 guitar can be of natural,sunburst,translucent or even metallic finishes to give you that elegant look.
b) T5-S1-The only distinguishing difference is its maple top. It adds sizzle and creates a brighter tune. The standard features are the dot inlays and its hardware made of chrome. The finish is similar to the classic T5 guitar.
Custom
This Taylor T5 is a 6-stringed while is back and sides are made of sapele. Its top is made sitka spruce,while the fretboard has ebony binding. Its hardware is made of gold-plated while some have chrome.
12-string
They deliver the same playability and easy to hold and stay in tune features like the 6-strings. They are mainly ideal for 6-string guitarist though the 12 string players can also play using it. Its back and sides are made of sapele.
